Discipleship Training School (DTS)

- Training Overview -
The DTS or Discipleship Training School offers a unique time in your life to focus on who God made you to be, and what He wants you to do. The school seeks to bring you into a more intimate relationship with God. It gives you an opportunity to discover your passions and your part in God’s purposes for the world. It is for those who long to follow Jesus in new ways with a different perspective.
The school lasts 5-6 months and consists of two parts: (1) a three-month lecture phase and (2) a two-month outreach phase. Students leave the school transformed and equipped to take the Gospel to the nations and live out a calling as ambassadors for Christ.
The DTS is also the prerequisite for not only becoming YWAM staff, but also for YWAM’s second-level training.

Lecture Phase
Students spend the majority of lecture phase in the classroom receiving teaching and training from missions practitioners from around the world. You will study a range of topics related to the life of Christ, growing in intimacy with God, and missions. Topics include:

As YWAM Morelia, we do not have specific locations that every team will go to on outreach. The outreach phase is determined during the school as you pray, seek for a word from God together, and prepare for the trip.
